Despite the late hour, there was little in the way of Brexit negotiations this week. Olly Robbins, the UK Prime Minister’s Europe adviser, was in Brussels for talks with the EU's deputy Brexit negotiator, Sabine Weyand.
There were no official Brexit negotiations this week with all eyes focused on the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham. However, there are just two weeks to go until the next meeting of EU leaders.
Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab was in Brussels for another meeting with the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier. However progress remains slow on the key issue of the Irish border and the prospect of no deal continues to overshadow the debate on Brexit both in the UK and in Brussels.
